Adam Sandler Stars in Debut Trailer for Netflix's Lebron James-produced Basketball Drama 'hustle'

The LeBron James-produced Hustle, starring Adam Sandler as a basketball scout looking to restart his career, has unveiled its first trailer.

Based on Sandler's character reaching out to a one-of-a-lifetime player abroad, Hustle is directed by Jeremiah Zagar, who previously helmed 2018's independent drama We the Animals. Despite the player's troubled past, he's inspired by his talent and determined to help him get into the NBA. From brutal training regimes to highly competitive players on the court, this teaser shows just how cutthroat the life of an athlete can be.

Additionally, Queen Latifah, Robert Duvall, and Ben Foster appear in the film, which was written by Will Fetters (A Star Is Born) and Taylor Materne. In addition to Tobias Harris, Matisse Thybulle, Tyrese Maxey, and head coach Doc Rivers, a few members of the Philadelphia 76ers roster will make appearances.

In addition to Sandler's extensive partnership with Netflix, which is known for its success, Hustle will be the latest project he will be releasing. Hustle is, however, quite the opposite of what he usually produces for the streamer. His Happy Madison Productions banner specializes in goofy comedies, including Murder Mystery (which will see a sequel) and Hubie Halloween, among others. Considering the Sandman's passion for basketball, it's not surprising he wants to take the role more seriously.
