Boosie Badazz Emotional While Paying Tribute to Trouble at Rapper’s Funeral: ‘That Was My Boy’

A week after Trouble was shot and killed at the age of 34, the Atlanta rapper’s funeral took place on Monday at the House of Hope church in Decatur, Georgia.

During Monday’s homegoing services, which you can watch in full above, Boosie Badazz paid his final respects to the slain Atlanta rapper, as he grew emotional while reflecting on his friendship with Trouble.

“I didn’t get to tell my boy thank you, so I wanna tell Trouble thank you,” Boosie said at the 3:10 mark of the below video. “He always supported me. That was my n***a and I’m hurting for ya’ll because I’m hurting for five years. You know, I wasn’t with him 30 years, so I just wanna tell that n***a thank you. That was my boy and I just wanna tell em thank you. That was my boy.”

Boosie’s remarks arrive just days after he took to Twitter to express his pain following Trouble’s tragic death.

“Cried n hurted for a hour on the plane with my lil girl holding me,” the Baton Rouge rapper wrote. “All I could thank bout is yo lil girl always playin in your face n both of y’all smiling. U was my friend my n***a, u lifted me up when I was down!!”

Boosie continued, “I just cried to you a couple weeks ago on the phone about my kids n you told me to let it go. I’m [gonna] miss u as a friend TROUB.”

As previously reported, Trouble, real name Mariel Semonte Orr, was shot and killed at the Lake St. James apartment complex located in Conyers, Georgia on June 5.

According to law enforcement, 33-year-old Jamichael Jones was involved in a “domestic situation” with a woman that Trouble went to see at the aforementioned apartment complex. Jones entered the woman’s apartment while her and Trouble were asleep and shot the rapper in the chest. Trouble was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Jones, who turned himself into the authorities, has since been charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, home invasion, and battery.
