A spacey new visual for DDG's Gunna-assisted song "Elon Musk" has emerged. Directed by StripMall, the clip depicts the Pontiac-native as an astronaut boarding a rocket ship, blunt in hand, and launching into space. In the video, Gunna sits comfortably in the back of a gliding Tesla as he spits clever bars about his weed consumption.
With DDG saying for weeks that he will be the first rapper to go into space, the thematics of his new "Elon Musk" music video make perfect sense. It's unclear when and how he will make that trip, but the galactic "Elon Musk" music video reaffirms his commitment to completing the journey.
The new HipHopDX Rising Star track is the first offering fans have received since he dropped his OG Parker-helmed project Die 4 Respect in 2021. Among the artists on that album were YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Coi Leray, PnB Rock, Lil Yachty, Coi Leray, 42 Dugg and Blueface.
As for Gunna, he is still riding high off the success of his album DS4EVER, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 and featured appearances from Young Thug, Future, 21 Savage, Lil Baby, Kodak Black, Chlöe Bailey, and more. Recently, Gunna released the video for his Chlöe-featuring song "You & Me," fueling speculation that the two might be dating. DDG might also be dating Chlöe's sister Halle after the pair were seen attending an Usher concert together in Las Vegas.
