iHeartradio Music Awards 2022 to Be Hosted by LL Cool J

LL Cool J is going to be the host of the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards. A live broadcast will take place on Tuesday, March 22, from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The iHeartRadio Icon Award for 2022 will be presented to Jennifer Lopez on the day of the event.

Since 2012, LL Cool J has hosted the Grammy Awards at Los Angeles' Staples Center, now Crypto.com Arena. The rapper-turned-actor also hosted the NAACP Image Awards in 2007 at the Shrine.

“It’s an honor to return to the stage as host of the iHeartRadio Music Awards and bring live music back to fans all over the world as we celebrate our favorite artists,” LL said in a statement. “I have a special performance for the fans, and the show will have some great surprises throughout the night.”

LL and J.Lo have collaborated on big hits - "Control Myself" (No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2006) and "All I Have" (No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks in 2003) - but they haven't announced whether they'll perform together here.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards have been hosted previously by Jamie Foxx (2015), Jason Derulo (2016), Ryan Seacrest (2017), DJ Khaled and Hailey Baldwin (2018), T-Pain (2019) and Usher (2021).
