J. Cole Gives Credit to 21 Savage for Helping Him Get His First Grammy Award
During Grammy weekend, J. Cole and Dreamville put on the Dreamville Festival, which featured a variety of popular acts. The festival went down in Raleigh, North Carolina, and found acts like Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, Larry June, and more performing. J. Cole made an appearance during the festival and took the time to thank 21 Savage for helping him get a Grammy.
Cole didn’t attend the Grammys due to scheduling conflicts, and it was also noted the North Carolina rapper didn’t pick up any wins at the ceremony this year. Despite that, J. Cole reflected on the past wins, and along with the collaborator who helped get him there. While on stage, Cole began to perform “A Lot” and said, “Y'all make some noise for 21 Savage.” He continued saying, “He got a n***a his first -- the only Grammy I ever won was because of this n***a 21 Savage.” According to reports, J. Cole was nominated in four Grammy categories this year.
