In addition to his many talents, Jamie Foxx is a master of impressions. According to the singer/actor during a recent appearance on NELK's Full Send Podcast with Kyle Forgeard and Bob Menery, he compared his impression of JAY-Z to Sammy Davis Jr. and Kermit the Frog.
“At that time, it was The Muppets,” he said. “Kermit the Frog was a Muppet, right? So I would do Kermit the Frog. ‘Kermit the Frog does Sesame Street News. Here with the three little pigs.’ Which actually sounds like Sammy Davis Jr.: ‘Who can take a sunrise.’ Which actually sounds like JAY-Z: ‘Nice party, it’s crazy. Started off in Marcy Projects, here with Beyoncé. Dame [Dash] had an idea so we just [laughs]… it’s crazy.'”
The actor then performed an impression of Donald Trump: "I've just been very lucky to have so many great people in my life.. A lot of great people, a lot of great people on both sides. Lots of great people on both sides.'”
Fans hopped into the comments to praise Foxx’s range of impressions, with one writing, “WITH THE QUICKNESS he doesn’t need to prep he just kills it off the rip.” Another crowned him “Top 5 most talented ever.”
