In an interview with ComicBook.com's Phase Zero podcast, Jared Leto teased the possibility of a Morbius sequel before the release of his new film.
Upon being asked which of the three Spider-Man actors leto would like to see Morbius face off against, Leto replied, "I’ll take ‘em all".
“Well, I’ll tell you what, I’ll take ‘em all my friend, I’ll take ‘em all,” Leto said.
“I’m not scared. I’m not scared, but I have to say, there’s something about Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Morbius being a new chapter in the universe that seems quite fitting. And I would love to see them get in the ring with one another, these two characters.”
Leto added, “And I think Tom’s just, like, you know, done a phenomenal job. And he’s a great actor and he just brings a lot of energy and humor to the role that’s great.”
This Friday, Morbius will hit theaters, starring Leto alongside Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal, and Tyrese Gibson.
Earlier this month, Leto spoke to Variety about his superhero debut, claiming that if not for comic book flicks, theaters would be extinct.
“If it wasn’t for Marvel films, I don’t even know if theaters would exist,” Leto said. “It doesn’t seem like there’s room for everyone, and that starts to become a little heartbreaking.”
“I also have gratitude for these movies because they’re keeping cinema alive,” he added.
