Court documents obtained by The Blast show that Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock have finalized their divorce, with Clarkson agreeing to a one-time, tax-free payment of $1,326,161 million, plus monthly child support.
Clarkson will be required to pay $45,601 in child support for his two children, River Rose and Remington Alexander. Up until January 31, 2024, Blackstone will receive $115,000 per month in spousal support from Clarkson. The original request was $2.35 million annually, split among $150,000 in spousal support and $45,601 in child support.
They have agreed to share custody of their kids, who will receive the COVID-19 vaccine since River and Remington will split time between their parents' homes in two different states. Blackstock will receive $50,000 in "reimbursement" for private plane use until they are fully vaccinated by Clarkson. Once they receive their shots, they will be able to fly first class.
Both homes they own in Montana have been awarded to Clarkson, but Blackstock will live in one of them until June and be required to pay his ex-wife $2,000 per month in rent. They each will keep their own set of cars, but he gets to keep his "golf simulator and a couple of Patek Philippe watches." Clarkson will get to keep the family pets while he gets to keep the "farm cattle, livestock, stock dogs, and horses."
Clarkson filed for divorce in June 2020, citing the tried and true "irreconcilable differences." The couple was married for seven years. She filed a legal name change last month to Kelly Brianne, her first and middle names. According to her petition, “my new name more fully reflects who I am.” A hearing for the name change has been set for March 28.
