Lil Baby has established himself as an elite rapper in the Hip Hop game, and he continues to improve every day. Although the Atlanta native is busy working on new music, he recently took a break to share a snippet with hungry fans.
The rapper shared a preview of a new song on Instagram Monday (March 28) that could be part of the new music releases he teased a few weeks ago. The track finds him rapping over a beat that samples Drake and JAY-Z’s classic 2013 record “Pound Cake” off 'Nothing Was The Same'.
“I be in the loop/She be in the group/Brodie want her friend, throw the alley-oop/You turn something into nothing bro, I’m living proof/How can I lose when we the who’s who?” Lil Baby raps on the song.
“I’m Just Warming Up #Thissummermines,” he captioned as Gunna, DJ Khaled, Juelz Santana and NBA stars Ja Morant and Trae Young flooded his comments section.
Earlier this summer Gunna warned his peers about stepping it up since he would be releasing new music. In response to the call, Lil Baby posted on Instagram implying that he would accept.
“This summers mine,” he wrote alongside a photo of him sitting with massive piles of cash stacked on his lap.
Due to the success of My Turn, Lil Baby doesn't even need to release a new album. The 2020 project has spent an incredible 85 weeks on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart, breaking Post Malone's Hollywood's Bleeding record.
