Nicki Minaj and Fivio Foreign Team Up for New Track “We Go Up”

Fivio Foreign and Nicki Minaj collaborate on their new track "We Go Up."

Minaj teased the song on social media prior to its release on Friday.

Multiple versions, including an official instrumental and an extended edit, were shared with streamers. Swizzy, Szamz, and Papi Yerr are credited for production.

Minaj took to Twitter to share news of the song's release and wished fans a happy Pink Friday.

The Fivio collab with Nicki follows this month’s “Blick Blick” with Coi Leray and February’s “Bussin” with Lil Baby. Baby and Minaj were fresh off the release of their previous “Do We Have a Problem?” collaboration.

Minaj's most recent full-length studio album, Queen, came out in 2018. Despite generally positive reviews, minaj's fourth album featured the era-defining single "Chun-Li." In an interview with Joe Budden this month, minaj reflected on that time in her life, saying that she now feels the album wasn't "presented correctly." She added that she wasn't in the right place to release an album at that time.

Minaj teased "We Go Up" in a TikTok post this month, saying she had “scrapped this song” from the album, resulting in a flood of drop requests from her fans.

The possibility of Drake serving as the album's executive producer was also discussed at one point, according to Minaj.
