In a recent interview with Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Pusha-T shared that he has a collaboration with Jay-Z for his next album.
Gillie Da Kid and Wallo spoke with Pusha about his history with Jay before saying that he has “got three songs with him now.” He previously collaborated with Hov on Kanye West's “So Appalled,” and the two joined forces for his 2016 track “Drug Dealers Anonymous.” He mentioned his three songs with Jay, and said one of them was “something from my new album.”
“I don’t know if I was supposed to say that,” Pusha added.
"Drug Dealers Anonymous" host Push said he had "barbecue baked" Jay on the show, which led to the rapper teasing a new collaboration with him.
“Oh, he got busy,” he said with a smile. “I send him shit ‘cause I know he gonna say shit that I just can’t say. To me, that’s what be wild impressive.”
The rapper told Complex's Speedy Morman that there are "numerous tracks" on the record that he could see Jay rapping on. Despite this, Pusha denies working with Jay on the album, although it's likely that he wanted to keep his verse a secret. At the time, he added he’ll only work with Jay on a song if he’s “totally satisfied” with his own verse, but thinks the song needs something extra.
According to Pusha in the same interview, "there will be no better album this year." A tentative release date hasn't been announced just yet, but Kanye and the Neptunes are producing the record, which will be released in the near future.
He also reiterated that the contract he recently posted on Instagram does not mean he's leaving G.O.O.D. Music. He revealed that it was a contract that Kanye signed over to him that allowed him to earn profit on both the back catalog and the new album
