Snoop Dogg Releases "B.O.D.R." Short Film In Honor Of New Album And Buying Death Row Records

The rapper recently won several awards and has now released a short film titled B.O.D.R. (Bacc On Death Row).

The Long Beach native released the 43-minute video Friday, which combines studio footage, music videos, and BTS footage to celebrate the release of his new album, also titled B.O.D.R., and his recent purchase of Death Row Records.

Snoop bought Death Row from MNRK Music Group, a Blackstone-controlled company, earlier this month. “I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value,” he said. “It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members. This is an extremely meaningful moment for me."

He shared B.O.D.R. as the first Death Row release he owned a few days later. The album features Nas, Wiz Khalifa, DaBaby, The Game, Nate Dogg, T.I., Sleepy Brown, Uncle Murda, E-Mo, October London, Nefertitti Avant, HeyDeon, and Jane Handcock.

“B.O.D.R. is especially important to me and I’m excited to have a full-circle moment in my career at this time,” Snoop said at the time of its release. “The album has all the classic Snoop Dogg style with surprises and features from some of the dopest artists out there.”

The following day, Snoop performed with Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Dr. Dre, and Mary J. Blige at the Super Bowl, memorializing the moment with a new B.O.D.R. chain.
