Serena and Venus Williams Join Will Smith at the red carpet!
Serena Williams and Venus Williams accompanied the 53-year-old actor to the 33rd Annual Producers Guild of America Awards on Saturday night.
At the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, Smith attended the gala celebrating the film King Richard, in which he plays Serena and Venus Williams' dad Richard Williams.
Smith wore a blue blazer with a black lapel trim for the evening out. Under his black vest, he wore a white dress shirt and black tie.
Similarly, the Williams sisters also dazzled for the evening out with Serena, 40, wearing a burgundy mini dress with a pink fabric train. She also wore dozens of crystal-like embellishments on her chest.
The 41-year-old Venus wore a white gown with a slit on the left side, which featured a shoulderless look.
King Richard follows Serena and Venus' rise to becoming tennis champions. Reinaldo Marcus Green (Joe Bell) directed the film.
Alongside Smith, the film stars Saniyya Sidney as a young Venus and Demi Singleton as a young Serena. The film also stars Aunjanue Ellis, Jon Bernthal, Dylan McDermott, and Tony Goldwyn.
Smith won the 2022 SAG Award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role last month (He won a BAFTA, Critics' Choice, and Golden Globe award for the role and he's up for an Oscar this year).
In his acceptance speech, Smith called his win for King Richard "one of the greatest moments" of his career. He then raved about the real-life legacy of his titular character Richard.
"Richard Williams is a dreamer like no one you've ever known," said Smith. "He has a power of belief that borders on insanity and sometimes tips over the border, which is absolutely necessary to take something from impossible to possible."
During his speech, Smith gave a special shout-out to the Williams family (Venus was present for the February ceremony).
